Online forms are a great convenience. They also can be a great risk--without any kind of security protection, web-based forms can be used to attack a web site, generate unsolicited "spam" email messages, or other bad purposes.
Since most attempts to misuse a web form are made by automated scripts (programs that scour the internet, looking for unprotected forms they can use to send spam), we ask you to enter a specific three-digit number when you send a form to us. If the number you enter doesn't match the number we asked for, the form will not send any data.
We want it to be as easy as possible to contact us and to use our services. We have found this number verification system to be an effective way of protecting our forms without inconveniencing our users. If you prefer not to use our forms, you can always contact us by phone, email, or postal mail.
